1. Introduction & Scope
This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how orders placed on the Acromart marketplace (www.acromarts.com), operated by Elfinic Commerce Private Limited, are processed, dispatched and delivered. Because building materials are often heavy and bulky, specific logistics terms apply. This Policy should be read with our Terms of Service.
2. Definitions
- Dispatch: The point at which a product leaves the vendor’s or warehouse premises for delivery.
- Last-Mile Delivery: Transport of products from the local hub to the delivery address or site.
- Demurrage: Charges for delay or extended waiting of a delivery vehicle at the Buyer’s instance.
3. Serviceable Areas
Delivery is available to serviceable PIN codes displayed at checkout. Some heavy, bulky or hazardous products may have restricted serviceability or require special arrangements. If your location is not serviceable, the Platform will indicate this, or you may contact us for a custom freight quote.
4. Order Processing & Dispatch
Orders are processed after payment confirmation (or order confirmation for approved payment-on-delivery). Processing and dispatch timelines vary by product, vendor, availability and quantity, and are indicated on the product page or order confirmation. Made-to-order, custom and bulk items may require longer lead times.
5. Delivery Timelines
Estimates only. All delivery dates, windows and timelines are estimates, not guarantees. Actual delivery may vary due to product type, quantity, location, logistics, weather, site access and other factors beyond our control. Estimated delivery timelines are shown at checkout where available. We will make reasonable efforts to deliver within the estimate and to notify you of material delays.
6. Shipping & Freight Charges
Shipping, freight and handling charges depend on product weight, volume, quantity, distance and delivery location, and are calculated and displayed before you confirm your order. For heavy, oversized or bulk consignments, special freight charges may apply and may be quoted separately. Charges for project or bulk orders may be agreed in the relevant quotation.
7. Site Access & Delivery Conditions
You are responsible for providing accurate delivery details and ensuring safe, lawful and adequate vehicular access to the delivery point. Where a delivery vehicle cannot reach the delivery point due to access constraints, narrow roads, restrictions or site conditions, products may be delivered to the nearest accessible point, and any additional handling will be at your cost.
8. Unloading Responsibility
Unless expressly included in your order or quotation, unloading, lifting, carrying and on-site placement of materials are the Buyer’s responsibility. Please ensure adequate labour and equipment are available at the time of delivery. Drivers are not obligated to carry materials beyond the delivery vehicle.
9. Inspection at Delivery
You (or your authorised representative) must be present to receive and inspect the consignment. Check quantities and condition, and record any visible damage, breakage or shortage on the delivery documentation before signing. Signing for receipt without noting issues may limit your ability to claim for visible damage or shortage later.
10. Partial & Multiple Shipments
Large or multi-item orders may be delivered in parts or in multiple shipments, potentially on different dates and by different carriers, depending on product availability and vendor location. Each shipment should be inspected on delivery.
11. Failed Deliveries & Demurrage
If a delivery cannot be completed because no one is available to receive it, access is inadequate or details are incorrect, we will attempt to reschedule. Repeated failed attempts, extended vehicle waiting time or rescheduling at your instance may attract demurrage, waiting and re-delivery charges, and may result in cancellation with applicable deductions.
12. Risk & Title
Risk in the products generally passes to you upon delivery. Title to the products passes upon full payment, unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for the safe storage and handling of materials after delivery.
13. Delays & Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or non-delivery caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, weather, strikes, transport disruptions, government action or other force majeure events, as described in our Terms of Service. We will make reasonable efforts to keep you informed and to complete delivery once conditions permit.
14. Tracking & Support
Where available, tracking information is provided through your account or via notifications. For help with a delivery, contact Acromart Customer Care at care@acromarts.com with your order number.
Grievance Officer & Contact
For questions, requests or complaints, contact our Grievance Officer. We will acknowledge complaints within forty-eight (48) hours and endeavour to resolve them within one (1) month, in line with applicable law.
